2011 Great Lakes Hunting Photos

The 2011 Wisconsin waterfowl season was another banner year for WDH Guide Service on the Great Lakes and in Northern Wisconsin! Season totals for 2011 were  277 ducks and 8 geese, representing a total of 23 species of waterfowl ranging from old squaw goldeneye, scaup, redheads and canvasbacks to wood ducks, black ducks, ringnecks, mallards, pintail, black scoter as well as hooded and common mergansers.

Highlights of the year included 15 trips (7 of which were consecutive) that resulted in full bag limits for clients and full plumage drakes of 17 different duck species were taken over the course of the season! The average number of birds taken per outing was 7.5 birds in hand and 12.7 shooting opportunities (individual groups of birds through decoys).

Thank you again to all of those who made it possible for another great year in the duck blind and we hope to see you again next year!
